Sticks – A Golfer’s Tale

I wrote “Sticks” not just as an entertaining story, but also with a purpose in mind. Playing golf successfully (or so I have been told) is a rewarding experience, one for which to be striven. Unfortunately, like every other success, it requires skill, practice, patience and dedication (the kinds of things that most of us are unwilling or incapable of doing).

Most of us, myself included, would like to find a short cut to success, whether it is in golf or anything else. In golf, the short cut is usually presented as the newest driver, the latest putter style or the most recently developed “super” ball. These rarely if ever, fulfill the golfer’s dream of improved play. The only improvement to his game is that they make his wallet lighter so that his walk around the links is less tiring. So is there really a magic device that will allow us to circumvent all the hard work required by others?

“Sticks” addresses the question, “What if?” What if a magic shortcut really did exist and you found it?

Bob Andrews may have found it! And then again, if he did will it be what he expects?

Well, he’ll find out and so will you when you read “Sticks – A Golfer’s Tale”.

“Sticks” is the ultimate golf fantasy.

Bob Andrews, the book’s central character has just bought a new set of golf clubs and he expects big things to happen to his game! And big things do happen, but not what he expects!

When you read “Sticks” you won’t believe what happens – but maybe – you’ll just want to believe!

But, things happen in Highburg and not good things!

The Adventures of Jesus (A five act play)

Yes! JC is back!

“What would Jesus do?”

That is the question that is to be answered.

This time things are different.

Hiring the help isn’t as easy as it used to be. It’s not that simple to get good apostles these days!

Political correctness and modern culture make things tough on the old messiah.

Even the miracles have their problems.

And, of course, his old nemesis is constantly popping up to make it even more difficult.

“He’s back and it just ain’t the same!”

“If you don’t laugh out loud, I’ll give you your money back!
